I live in NSW and I want to use a shipping container for my shed, do I need to get a permit?

Reading this article I think you do have to get a permit.

If you follow the flow chart then you can make your own decision.

The is no exemption for a Shipping container and you will always need a permit from the looks of it. That is a bit of a problem for me as I live on a 50 acres and have 4 shipping containers that I use to store my stuff (plus 3 large sheds). The one thing I will say with a shipping container is to note that they degrade due to their exposure to salt. Make sure you wash and treat the container when you receive it otherwise they rust quickly.
